  1. Withdrawals are not as easy as the video indicates…
Need to complete KYC verification at a level that is a little intrusive (although required)…
Even then they sometimes ask for additional verification…
Can only contact them via a chat support portal and IMO are slow with no phone support provided…
Additionally received dubious info from one representative indicating they did not accept deposits from my bank when only a week of two before they we accepting deposits from the same bank…
Need to ensure your account is properly set up and test the crypto and fiat withdrawal process or could find yourself in a situation similar to Voyager and Celsius current issues and will have the potential to lose all your cryptos should problems arise on the exchange and/or your dollars held for various liquidity issues…

    Final thoughts…
Buying and storing on the exchange is simple and easy…
Self custody the only way to go at this phase of crypto adoption…
Still maintain my account and interested in the partnership with Ledger…
The speed of their customer service leaves much room for improvement….

  2. thank you for the detailed tutorial. something is boggling my mind though, whenever i try to stake my FTT's following error message is popping up 'as a non-professional UK user, you cannot stake'. is it only me facing this, or is there a way around? wondering if you can guide somehow. thank you beforehand.

  3. Wrong. You can NOT transfer GBP into FTX. You MUST use a WIRE transfer and send GBP to USD before it hits FTX. I repeat. You CANNOT send GBP straight into FTX as GBP.

  4. The fees are charged once on the entry and exit of the positon ? Or charged first time on the entry and second time on the exit?

  5. Thanks for the best crypto videos around. Always lucid and concise.

I have an FX app with HSBC expat. Do you think it's better to deposit GBP on FTX and have them convert it or use my FX app (slightly lower than Hsbc normal rate) and wire USD (plus £19 in charges) ?
I'm new to FTX but it seems, unlike binance, that there are no gbp pairings to set up limit orders to buy crypto… hence my question

  6. Can you leave your assets on the platform? Do they have insurance should something happen? Or is it best to move off if holding for a bit? If speculating leaving on would be necessary I guess. Thx

  7. Think I'm going to make the switch to FTX from Coinbase. Fees are such a downer on Coinbase/Coinbase Pro…

  8. Dont withdraw BTC from FTX. They send BTC transfers at lowest priority. This means your transfer will get stuck in the blockchain for days or weeks. This cannot be changed. When you contact support for help, they will require $500 to cancel transfer or you have to leave it on blockchain for weeks. If you complain, you will get kicked out of all FTX groups. Be warned. FTX doesnt play fair.
